Reminder: Second Payment on Account Due Soon

As June progresses, it’s important for all our self-employed clients, to remember that the second payment on account for the current tax year is due by the 31st of July.

Who Needs to Make This Payment?

This applies to you if you’re self-employed, either as a tradesman, a security professional, or a business owner paying tax through self-assessment. The second payment on account is required if your previous year’s tax bill was over £1,000 and less than 80% of your tax was collected at source.

How to Make Your Payment

Use HMRC’s online services, linked below, bank transfer, or other accepted methods. Make sure you reference your Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) correctly to avoid delays or misallocation of your funds.

Need Assistance?

If you need help with your payment, please don’t hesitate to contact your account manager, we’re here to help.

Please note that our clients will receive emails next month from their account manager to remind them of this. This article serves as an additional reminder.
